My co-worker and I were planning the highest profile meeting of our career. The attendees of our meeting were the CEO, CFO and the remaining VPs of this Fortune 500 company. Every attendee of our meeting was considered a VIP. The CEO selected the venue this year and it was in the middle of nowhere compared to everywhere else the group had been in past years.
Each night of the meeting the dinner was scheduled to be some type of special event. Due to the security requirements of this meeting, there no way that me and her could be in the Event Center to take care of attendees and set-up for each night. Since I was unable to duplicate myself, I quickly enlisted the help of Accent Indy, an Indiana DMC! Accent Indy was my saving grace. My co-worker and I could focus on the other details of the meeting as well as the attendees. The main benefit for me was the extra staff to assist with making this meeting memorable.
The picture above is from our Lounge. Accent transformed a boring ballroom into a Karaoke Lounge. The attendees partied so hard and long that we had to force them out by the end of the night. They continued to talk about that night for the duration of the meeting. My client wanted to know why was she paying for a meeting planning company as well as a destination management company. Accent really worked with us on the cost…we did a lot of mixing and matching. Meaning we received an inventory from the hotel before we reached out to the other companies for items which really helped with the costs.
